Shorter KTP’s now available
The Technology Strategy Board has launched the Short Knowledge Transfer Partnership (SKTP) scheme to provide businesses with a funding and support stream to tackle short-term, tactical issues.
Unlike classic KTP’s which last between one and three years, SKTP’s will run from 10 to 40 weeks, significantly reducing the cost of utilising the expert knowledge of recent graduates and academic specialists and allowing businesses to ensure that realistic, high-impact deliverables are achieved in a much shorter timeframe. It is expected that these SKTP projects will act as a stepping-stone for those organisations that have not worked with a knowledge base before to realise the benefits that can be achieved through knowledge transfer and collaboration
The overall cost of an SKTP will be dependant on the duration of each specific project; however the typical weekly rate is £950. SME’s will receive 60% grant funding towards the cost of an SKTP, reducing the weekly costs to the business to £380.
Benefits of a SKTP include:
- Accessing highly qualified people to spearhead new projects
- Accessing experts who can help take your organisation forward
- Developing innovative solutions to help your organisation grow
