Capital Copiers (Edinburgh) Ltd
Capital Copiers Ltd, in partnership with Edinburgh Napier University, has been awarded £5000 for a project intended to provide a basis to more effectively evaluate software products and provide a sound basis from which to start the design and implementation phase. The objectives of this project are to facilitate the three key functional areas in the business (sales, service and administration).
Belhaven Fruit Farm
Belhaven Fruit Farm, in partnership with Queen Margaret and Edinburgh Napier Universities, has been awarded a grant of £5000. The project is geared toward developing a successful marketing strategy tying together re-branding and re-positioning and new product development and analysis.
LIV (Local Information Vending)
Local Information Vending (LIV) have been awarded £5000 to develop a concept enabling foreign tourists to receive information about places of interest in their native language, using mobile phone and MP3 technology.
Andy Frew, Professor in IT and Tourism at Queen Margaret University, will work with the company to explore additional configurations of information technology to optimise revenue streams and open-up additional routes to market.
LIV were finalists in the 2008 John Logie Baird Awards and are on the Scottish Enterprise Growth Pipeline, which supports concepts with the potential to have a significant impact on Scotland's future economy.
